Bug by Tracy Letts

We realize that being “female” means different things to every woman, and we’d like for you to share your voice in a conversation on how the script Bug fits into your experience as a female. (FYI: Tracy Letts is not a female playwright, but Bug is a play with an interesting female protagonist.) At 7:30pm on June 8 at Hilary's house there will be a script reading, wine, dessert, and a critical discussion will follow.

  1. I'm curious if after the discussion on "BUG" if anybody went home thinking about any of the ideas from the play? If they festered like a infestation of fleas?

If so which parts of the play: the science fiction aspects or the relationship aspects? Or did you go home and run over the inconsistencies in the script?

Part of me still feels like the inconsistencies were purposeful and the point of them may be to 1) Make the audience uncomfortable and/or 2) Make the audience think about the script when they leave the theater. Any thoughts on this?
