In response to the common challenges of not only being lovers of theater but also being hopelessly and heroically female, we’d like you to join XX: As in Sex on an expedition for finding female playwrights, or strong female roles, or plays that focus on complex, humorous, and devastating relationships (you know, like the ones we have at home) through a series of script readings. The aim of XX is not to produce but to find great plays that can put women in the limelight in any acting company or production in our small town of Chico.
